Chaska Event Center 

Event Supervisor the primiary objective of this position is to be responsible for monitoring scheduled events in the Chaska Event Center. 

  • Major Areas of  Accountability:
  1. Monitor Event Center and building spaces during scheduled events
  2. Assist patrons with additional event needs such as, but not limited to audio/visual, obtaining additional tables/chairs, maintaining cleanliness
  3. Represent the City and the Chaska Parks and Recreation Department positively; addressing questions and concers as they arise. 
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  1. Ability to communicate, in a friendly manner, the rules and regulations to patrons. 
  2. Some audio/visual experience, as well as computer skills
  3. Self-motivated, problem-solver who is creative and possesses as good work ethic, team player.

Indoor & Outdoor Rink Attendants

  • Indoor Rink Attendants provide excellent customer service to all Community Center patrons and guests. In addition, provides on ice supervision during open skates and/or special events ensuring safety and enjoyment of all patrons on ice and in arena. Assist in Skate Shop with skate rental, daily admissions, & scanning of membership cards. Process all cash/checks receieved accurately and promptly. Sharpen hockey and figure skates. Participate in keeping all facility areas neat, clean, and safe at all times. Attend all necessary trainings and work meetings. Work as a team to accommplish goals and objectives.  Indoor & Outdoor Rink Attendants must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starting 
     

    Outdoor Rink Attendants provide supervision of outdoor ice skating rinks and warming houses during the months of December-February. Must have ability to work evenings, weekends (daytime and evening), and holidays. Open warming house at assigned times. Close warming house at end of evening. Ensure all participants are following posted rules regarding skating and rink use. Make sure warming house entrance and skating areas are clear and safe of snow and debris. Complete all necessary reports before end of shift. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Lifeguards and Swim Instructors

Chaska Curling Center Office Support:

Evening and weekend shifts (usually 6 hours). Assist with building and arena needs. Provide phone and in person customer service. A curling background and a desire to learn basic ice maintenance is preferable. Weekend Curling Instructors:

Curlers who feel they would enjoy teaching others the game are encouraged to submit an application. We have a tremendous amount of requests for weekend group rentals- both private groups as well as corporate. The person would be responsible for teaching the group how to curl, make sure all safety measures are followed (waivers, etc), and providing a good customer experience. Ice Making Assistant:

We are looking for two part time ice makers. These individuals would work with the head ice maker to prepare ice for leagues and perform general arena cleaning/maintenance. Chaska Community Center Group Fitness Instructor

Lead a variety of fitness classes at the CCC. Group Fitness Instructors are responsible for leading group fitness classes that range in variety and levels. Skills include counting, cueing, organizing choreography, and patron relations. Job responsibilities as follows:
• Provide a safe and fun environment for participant
• Promote knowledge of proper group fitness components, i.e.: warm up, aerobic exercise, flexibility, cool down, etc.
• Knowledgeable in techniques and dynamics of Group Fitness
• Knowledge in a variety of Group Fitness classes including seniors (SilverSneakers)
• Acquire and maintain a Group Exercise Certification and CPR/AED Certification
$18-$25/class
