Group X Fitness Class Descriptions

AQUA FIT
This class utilizes the shallow and the deep water as well as a variety of aqua tools including buoyancy belts, noodles and water weights. Cardio and strength will be the focus of this 45 minute workout. Great fit for any level. Registration and class fee required.

BODY BLAST
This quick, but intense workout will strengthen and tone your upper and lower body (20 minutes).

BODY WORK
A full hour of muscle strength and endurance training to tone and shape your body. No fancy choreography here, just challenging body work!

BOOM - MOVE IT!
This SilverSneakers format is an energizing cardio dance-based workout geared towards active older adults looking for a FASTER-paced, higher intensity group exercise class.

BOOT CAMP
If you are looking for a more intense combination of strength training, plyometrics and cardiovascular exercises then this class is for you! Boot Camp combines sports training drills, and calisthenics to give you an intense workout. Registration and class fee required.

CARDIO BLAST
A quick 20 minutes covering anything from boxing, step aerobics or running, each class offers a different challenge for an aerobics workout. This high intensity class is a great calorie burner!

CORE TRAINING
A quick 20 minutes of core exercises to strengthen your abs and back muscles for an intense workout.

COUNTRY HEAT
Come and join us for a workout inspired by Country music and line dancing. This workout is high-energy, easy-to-follow, low-impact, country dance-inspired fitness program that fires up the fun—you won't even feel like you're working out! Country Heat is a simple...No complicated moves, no weights or equipment—we will break down the dances each week and you will be dancing right in step from week one. CYCLE 45
Get a great 45 minute CYCLE cardiovascular workout on our LeMond Revmaster indoor cycles. *Stop by the front desk for a bike number.

CYCLE 45+
Get a great 45 minute CYCLE cardiovascular workout on our LeMond Revmaster indoor cycles followed by 15 minutes of strength work off the bike. *Stop by the front desk for a bike number.

FIT 4 LIFE
Join us for a workout just right for the young at heart baby boomers. In this challenging class, we will performed exercises geared towards balance, coordination, strength and flexibility Exercise modifications will be provided. Registration and class fee required.

FIT 4 LIFE YOGA
This class is designed for baby boomer adults and individuals who prefer a gentler paced practice. Poses will flow between standing and mat-based work to improve strength, balance and flexibility. Modifications and props will be used. Registration and class fee required.

FIT 50+
Join us for a workout just right for adults 50+ who are experienced exercisers. This class will increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Exercises are geared towards everyday activities with emphasis on balance, coordination, range of movement, strength and flexibility. Registration and class fee required.

FIT YOGA
Fitness yoga is a non-purist yoga class designed for mainstream fitness providers. Yoga postures, Pilates movements and stretching integrate mind and body for total strength, conditioning and flexibility.

FLOW YOGA
This class uses postures and stretches in combination with the breath to develop flexibility and relaxation. Paying special attention to proper alignment of the body to bring balance, strength, and calmness into our lives.

H.I.I.T.
HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training is a training which you give all-out 100% effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short recovery periods. HIIT keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time and increases metabolism. Burn more fat and calories in class and after in only 45 minutes. Registration and class fee required.

INSTRUCTORS CHOICE
No two classes are alike. Get ready for a mixture of intervals strength and cardio to push you to your limits and leave you wanting more!

INSANITY
Push yourself to the extreme with extended bursts of intense plyometric, strength, resistance, and core training intervals with short rest periods that will keep you constantly challenged. This workout is designed for the more experienced individual with higher endurance stamina. Registration and class fee required.

KETTLEBELLS
Kettlebells build long lean muscles, improve strength and power in the upper body, core and lower body and increase co-ordinance, joint mobility and overall endurance. This class is an efficient caloric expenditure-biggest bang for your buck! Registration and class fee required.

KIDS YOGA
Ages 6 to 10.
Your kids can experience the benefits of yoga! This special class is designed with just kids in mind. Find balance, improve coordination, work on large motor movements, increase flexibility, build self-esteem, and most importantly — have fun! Registration and class fee required.

LAP SWIM CHALLENGE
For intermediate & advanced swimmers who need extra help with technique and endurance. An instructor will coach from the pool deck and provide a great workout while helping swimmers with their strokes and turns. Swimmers should be able to swim 50 yards (1 lap) of the pool.

MAT PILATES
Focus on strengthening and tightening you core while creating long, lean and toned muscles in every part of your body. We will integrate balls, bands and weights to create an overall lean and toned body.

PIYO
a dynamic fusion of Pilates and yoga, this class is designed to give you powerful, athletic style movements through stretch, body strength and conditioning. Piyo features continuous, flowing patterns that link one exercise to another inspired by mind body practices while increasing balance, flexibility and improving one’s overall body strength.

TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING (TBC)
Combines continuous cardio training with muscle strength and endurance movements. Intensive activity is cycled with built in recovery periods of muscle work in an easy to follow workout. Using a variety of equipment including steps, weights, balls and bands, this class suits those with busy schedules who need to maximize workout time.

TWEEN YOGA
Ages 10 to 15.
This class will bring a more adult version of yoga poses and breath, while still allowing the students their own creativity. Restorative poses and mediation to help bring peace, relaxation and self-awareness. Registration and class fee required

TURBO KICK
This class combines hip-hop and martial arts. You will get the ultimate cardiovascular challenge complete with a sports specific warm-up, bouts of intense intervals, easy to follow combinations and kickboxing-specific strength and endurance training. This class is like a party with high energy and hip hop music!

VINYASA YOGA
This practice includes a warm up, sun salutations and other vinyasa sequences. Registration and class fee required.

ZUMBA
rhythms from around the world and easy to follow moves! Zumba ramps up the cardio with style. Registration and class fee required.
