Meet the Teachers:

Andrea Tucker is our lead preschool teacher/coordinator. Andrea has been working as the lead teacher and coordinator of Treks and Trails since the opening in 2007.  Andrea has an early childhood education degree from the University of Madison and has over 9 years of preschool teaching experience. Andrea implements a curriculum that meets the needs of all children in our program and engages children thru play and interactive learning.  Andrea lives in Chaska and is a proud mother of 2 young children. 

Sandy Jansen is our assistant preschool teacher. Sandy has worked with the City at the Community Center for over 9 years. She has taught numerous preschool classes for the Parks and Recreation Department and has been with Treks and Trails since it's opening in 2007 . Sandy is an energetic and passionate teacher who always puts the needs of the students first.  Sandy is a mother of  2 and lives in Chaska.

Treks and Trails Mission: To establish a place within our community to embrace the whole child and introduce them to social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

Teacher ratio is 1:10
Maximum class size is 20
(All teachers meet the state licensure standards)

Treks and Trails Preschool is for children ages 3-5 (children must be 3 by  September 1 of the school year).

3 year olds (Children must be 3 by September 1 of the school year)
Tuesdays and Thursdays
Choose either AM 9-11:30 or PM 12:30-3pm
Cost:    $122/Month Members
           $154/Month Non-Members

This class will focus on creating positive first learning experiences.  The curriculum will cover social, fine and gross motor skills, music, arts and academic skills.

4 and 5 year olds (Children must be 4 by September 1 of the school year)
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Choose either AM 9-11:30 or PM 12:30-3pm
Cost:    $156/Month Members
           $194/Month Non-Members

This class will begin to prepare your child for kindergarten.  The curriculum will focus on kindergarten readiness academic skills as well as music, arts, social, fine and gross motor skills.
