What size skates are available for rental?
     Kids size 8 to Adult size 13 are available, however, they are limited to 2 or 3 pairs per size.

GENERAL

What are your open hours?
     The CCC is open 5:00 am – 10:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. It is open 8:00 am – 9:00 pm on Sundays.

What is your address?
     The CCC is located at 1661Park Ridge Drive, Chaska, MN 55318.

What is your phone number?

How old do I have to be to go in the playroom?
     Kids ages 1-8 are charged to go in the playroom. All children must be accompanied by someone 15 years or older, but only the children need to pay.

How old do I have to be to utilize the wellness area (workout room)?
     15 years old

What age qualifies for an AOA (Active Older Adult) rate?
     55 years old

What is considered a youth for daily admission and membership rates?
     Ages 2-17 are charged a youth rate. Children under age 2 are free.

Am I able to go downstairs to watch my kids swim? 
     Yes, but unless you are taking your kids down for swim lessons, everyone who goes downstairs to the pool area must pay the daily admission. However, if you choose to watch your children from above, provided they are 9 or older, you do not need to pay.

Why do I need to pay to go downstairs if I simply want to watch my child swim?
     When we have allowed this in the past, a significant number of parents have been less than honest and have in fact gone swimming or utilized other parts of the downstairs area including the gym and wellness area without paying. 

Do you accept credit cards for payment?
     Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

Are children allowed to be unsupervised at the CCC?
     Kids age 11 and older can be unsupervised in our building as long as they are participating in an activity such as open gym. Otherwise there is a 1-hour limit on how long kids can just “hang out” at the CCC.

Do I have to be a member to use the community center?
     No, anyone is welcome to use the CCC.

Why are there two different rates for residents and non-residents?
     The citizens of Chaska have approximately 20 million dollars invested in the Chaska Community Center construction and an annual operating budget in excess of 2 million dollars. It is governmental taxing jurisdictions that dictate a different cost.

Do I have to be a member of Silver Sneakers to attend a Silver Sneakers Group Fitness class? 
      No, anyone can attend a Silver Sneakers class by paying the regular drop-in fee for the class.

Do you have someone on-hand to show me how to use the wellness equipment?
     We offer an hour-long Strength Equipment Orientation class twice a month for a small fee of $5 for members and $7 for non-members. You may also register for a personal training session with one of our personal trainers for an extra fee.

What kind of balls other than basketballs are allowed in the gyms?
     All of the following balls are allowed in the gym only when the gyms are not busy with basketball players: Indoor soccer balls, (the kind that are soft/fuzzy), soft footballs, soft baseballs/softballs, (available to checkout at the front desk), and racquetballs can be used in place of lacrosse balls.

How do I know if an activity is cancelled due to the weather?
    We post class cancellations after 4:00 pm on any given day. They are posted on our website, click

TRACK

How old do I have to be to use the track?
     15 years old.

Can I bring a stroller on the track?
     Small children may accompany an adult on the track as long as they remain in a stroller. Strollers must use the inside lane.

Is there a time when I can walk with my children on the track?
     Yes, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.

How many laps around the track equal a mile?
     12 laps equal a mile on the inside lane and 10 laps on the outside lane.

Do I have to be a member to use the track or is there a fee to use the track?
     No, the track is free to anyone everyone, compliments of the City of Chaska.

POOL

What is the temperature of the pool?
     The leisure pool (caterpillar slide) is kept between 85 and 87 degrees. The lap pool is kept between 83 and 84 degrees. 

What is the dress code for swimming?
All patrons using the swimming pools and spas must wear a swimsuit.  T-shirts, gym shorts, undergarments or work-out clothes are not allowed.  You cannot wear workout shorts or basketball shorts in the spas.  You must wear a swimsuit. 

What are the rules & temperatures of the spas?
    The Hot Spa, for ages 18 and up, is kept between 101 and 104 degrees. Hot Spa usage is limited to 5 people per spa. The warm spa is kept at 98 degrees and may be used by children who have a responsible person 16 years of age or older supervising them.  The hot spa is drained weekly on Thursdays at 9:45am. and re-opens at approximately 1:00pm.  The warm spa is drained weekly on Saturdays at 8:30am and re-opens at approximately 1:00pm. 

How tall do I have to be to go down the big yellow slide and can I go down with a parent?
     You must be at least 48” tall or pass a swim test administered by one of the lifeguards. Once you have taken the test, they will keep your name on file for your next visit. You cannot go down the slide with a parent or other person per state code.

How deep is the pool?
     The leisure pool has a zero depth entry and goes as deep as 3 ½ feet. The lap pool starts out at 2 ½ feet and gets as deep as 9 feet in the diving area.

How many lanes are in the lap pool?
     There are 4 lanes that are 25 yards long, making 33 laps equal to a “swimmer’s” mile (1,650).  An actual mile is 1760 yards, which would be 35 laps.  

Do I have to be in the water with my child?
     Children 5 years old and under must have direct in-water supervision by a responsible person 16 years of age or older.  The responsible person must be in the water with a swimsuit on within arms length at all times.  Children 6-8 years old must be supervised by a responsible person 16 or older.  The responsible person must stay in the pool area. 

Can I bring any flotation devices or  toys into the pool?
     You may bring diving rings, small floating toys, or soft toys (such as a small rubber/foam ball). Flotation devices such as lifejackets or water wings are only allowed with direct in water supervision of a responsible person 16 years of age or older.  Lifejackets or water wings are not allowed in the deep end or on the waterslide. 

How old do I need to be to use the sauna or steam room?
     15 years old

Are the warm/hot spas open during swim lessons?
     Yes, but only to those 18 years or older.

What is the age requirement for lap swim during guarded times?
     Anyone who can swim laps continuously, follow all rules, take directions from the lifeguard, are willing to share a lane, and are able to be respectful of all other patrons, can swim during lap swim times. 1 lane will be designated for aqua jogging.  Equipment such as: waterbelts, dumbbells, noodles, fins, kickboards and pull buoys will only be available during lap swim times. 

Can I swim laps while lessons or water aerobics are going on?
     No, the pool area is reserved solely for these groups.

How long is the large waterslide?
     150 feet
