Outdoor Adventures

The City of Chaska has partnered with Carver County Parks to create Outdoor Adventures for all ages!


If you can walk, you can snowshoe! It’s one of the best ways exercise during the winter months and we’ve got the equipment to get you adventuring in the wintery landscape. We will provide technique advice for efficiency during your snowy excursion and present background information about the different types of snowshoes used throughout history.

Registration fees include equipment use of snowshoe set and trekking poles. This program is a partnership between Carver County Parks, Chaska Parks & Recreation and the City of Carver.

Ages: 6+, Youth must register and participate with a registered adult
Date: Saturday, January 14
Place: Riverside Park, Carver
Time: Noon–1:30 p.m.
Cost: $9 per person including snowshoes



Grab your family or a friend, lace up some skates and shake those winter blues. Skate to some oldies but goodies and enjoy some hot cocoa for $.50. Please bring your own skates. No skates will be available to rent.
